  5. Customer group rules
Customer group rules enable precise control over the composition of bookings by defining requirements for different customer groups. For example, you can set rules such as allowing a maximum of 2 adults per 5 children or requiring at least one adult to be included in the booking. By tailoring group composition to meet package-specific needs, this feature enhances both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

To get started with setting customer group rules for a package, follow these steps :

  1. Go to the package that you want to apply the rules to.
  2. Navigate to the “Customer Groups” tab within the package settings.
  3. Check the checkbox labeled “Enable customer group rules” to activate this feature.
  4. Select the type of customer group you want to set rules for.
  5. Input the customer group/groups that need to be included in the package.
  6. Specify the amount required for each customer group. For example, set a rule such as allowing a maximum of 2 adults per 5 children.
  7. Save the changes to finalize the customer group rules for your package.

Customer rule types

Minimum or Maximum Customer group

This rule allows you to set a minimum or maximum number for the selected customer group or groups. When “combined” is chosen, the system will validate whether the total number of participants across the specified customer groups meets the value you entered. If not, it will check that each individual customer group meets the required amount.

Minimum or maximum customer group per customer group

This rule allows you to set a minimum or maximum number of one customer group per another. For example, this can enforce that a package requires 1 adult for every 5 children aged 7-12. Therefore, if the customer chooses 6 children, they must also select 2 adults to meet the package requirements.
