Discount Codes for Gift Cards

To enable discount codes for vouchers, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Vouchers menu and click on the voucher you want to add a discount code to.
2. Select the Discount codes tab.
3. Check the box labeled ENABLE and then click the Add button.
4. Enter the desired code, specify the percentage discount, and set the validity period for the discount code.
5. Click the SAVE button to finalize.
6. If you want to add more codes, click Add again and repeat the process.

Important Notes:

• When a discount code is used, the discount will apply to all available denominations/values for the selected voucher.
• On your website, customers will see a checkbox labeled “I have a discount code” during the voucher purchase process. They can check this box and enter the discount code to receive their discount.
• You can also use discount codes when selling vouchers directly via Funbutler.

How It Works:

When the voucher is redeemed:

• Both the voucher balance and the applied discount will be deducted from the relevant booking to ensure correct VAT handling.

Reporting:

• In the Reports > Vouchers menu, you can view any discounts applied to sold gift cards.
• The Day Sales report displays Unused Voucher Price Discounts to help you account for them in your bookkeeping.
