Packages in Funbutler
Packages are the top-level products in the Funbutler booking system and represent what your customers select when making a reservation. A package defines the full experience—for example:
Kids Birthday Party
Two-Game Bowling Session
Laser Tag + Arcade Combo
Packages allow you to group activities into a single bookable offering, making it easy for customers to understand what they’re getting and for the system to manage resources.
How Packages Work
Each package is made up of one or multiple activities. These activities tell the system:
Which resource to allocate (e.g., Bowling Lane 3)
At what time the activity should start
How long each part of the package lasts
Activities act as the internal structure that ensures bookings are automatically assigned to the correct lanes, rooms, or courts without manual intervention.
Example Package Structure
Example 1: Bowling Birthday Party
Activity : 4x 15 minutes of bowling → allocates a lane
Activity: 2x 15 minutes in the party room → allocates the party room
Example 2: Laser Tag Session
Activity 1: 15-minute briefing room → allocates briefing area
Activity 2: 20-minute game session → allocates arena
Package Pricing Options
Funbutler supports two types of pricing models:
Pricing Model | How It Works | Best For |
Fixed Price | One price for the entire booking. | Packages with predictable costs (e.g., room rental, bowling lane rental). |
Per-Person Price | Price is multiplied by the number of guests. | Activities where participation affects cost (e.g., food, equipment, game sessions). |
This flexibility allows you to tailor your offering to different event types and business models.
